M27 prices?

I've seen a few Finn M27s priced recently in the $1300 range, which is a lot more than I thought they were worth. I've had two over the years and kept the nicer one, I don't think I paid more than $600 for either, and probably sold my first for around that in about 2011. Until the recent import they were definitely easier to come by than M39s and seemed to be selling for less. That said, compared to the M39s there were a little over half as many made and probably more lost in combat, so overall there's got to be fewer of them out there, and with M39s seeming to be comfortably around $900 (very much generalizing here) I guess I can see it. What does everyone think? With the general explosion on Finn prices in the last few years, is that reasonable? Or will it go up ever further?

Note - I'm not interested in selling my M27, just curious on everyone's thoughts.
 
I just saw one at a show priced at $1100 or so, and another fellow mentioned having sold his a few months back for the $1200 range.

I suppose the buyer sets the market - seems there's always at least one person who wants something at near any cost.

We're seeing people pay $400+ for M44 carbines again too
 
The one at the Dugald show? I only looked close enough to see that it was an M27, at that point I figured I didn't need another one and remember saying "Well, it'd be a fair price for an M28." Guess I was wrong!
 
Yes - I don't think that one sold.

Mine is somewhat nicer or at least more interesting, so I don't need another either.
 
By the way, if this thread is inspired by the dealer selling an M27 in the EE, it's a 1939, which is on the uncommon side... though the one I just bought is rarer as a 1935.

Well, it was in that I figured $1300 was just your usual gun show insanity but Weimajack probably knew what he was talking about.
