M29-2?

What do you think about this one? I have not seen the revolver but I trust the dealer. I will get a like new 6½” nickle M29-2 SN 610xx for $450 plus tax (US). If it is as clean as he says I am going for it. Regards, Richard

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me Richard. I have three 29-2's, 4" blue, 4" nickle, and 6.5" blue, they are my favourite 44 Mag. - dan

I just recevied a 29-2 yesterday and it exceeded my expectations, and I paid a lot more than $450. Sounds like you've got a good deal.

sounds like a good price Richard the ones over 4" seem to be going for that amount of money here (allowing for exchange). The ones 4" or below command a high premium because you can't bring any more in. i've seen peopla ask $900 to $1000 Canadian for a 3 inch or thereabouts stainless.

If my memory serves me correctly, the 29-2 is the variant before S&W went away from the pinned barrel and recessed chambers...it should be a real sweetheart!
