I broke down and bought a plasma cutter as it would have killed me on gas to cut off all the frame reinforcement that was added.
On a side note,
On another site a previous owner contacted me. He stated this was used in a movie called " Day one" shot in Que about the atom bomb and also used in (but may have been hidden under a structure) captain power tv show both from the 80s.
old friend.... Coming along well!
Plasma cutter was a good investment, What A output is your model?
That movie title rang a bell. Some guys and M38A1 Jeeps from my old Militia unit were used in the production. I remember seeing the Jeeps on the armoury floor with semi-gloss green and big white stars. PM me and I will give you a name to contact.
There is a guy near Detroit or Chicago who sells (?) sold (?) complete repro rear armour. I had a URL on my old PC. Search for junk halftracks, repro armor, rebuild halftracks, etc. At one time I was curious about halftracks and researched what was for on the net. Then, of course, sanity prevaled.
a greyhound????......sweeet
Got any details?....runner?.....
.........where is it..........?![]()
Pity it wasn't a Detroit 4-71 or 6-71 , but very cool none-the-lessMan that engine must be a torque-monster, I love straight sixes!
