M2A1 Halftrack Resto dialup beware

Were you missing an idler shaft and pivot, or is it just that you want newer/better ones? Just curious as your halftrack looked like it had a complete drivetrain when you got it. What sort of timeframe before you get those bits and can start final assembly?

Did you get all the front armor mounted?

Haaaa, actually Tula contacted me also that night. As he has stated I did purchase it lol. You guys are really on the ball here.

The rear idler shaft was bent, and has taken till this long to find a descent one. The pivot and shaft and mount are about 75-90 pounds easy, and the gas tanks are big, so i will have them sent on a pallet.

Dropped the rear floor onto the 'track. Ran into a few problems with fitment. Seems in the past the frame wasn't repaired properly, and now im having a problem in 2 areas with sag. I think i have figured out how to fix it.

Its really drove me crazy. I know all the rear floor mounts/frame is right, and i know doors forward is right. It is where the rear door and armor starts, there is an overlap of almost 1 inch on one side, and less than a 1/4 on other 8( BUT, right under there is a mount on both sides! I can adjust this mount up or down to adjust the gap. This mount is also about 1 inch from where a frame repair was done, so that should be it.

haa, actually they have a NOS frame they use to make these. Also all armor and braces are made by NOS ones too. No, my frame after almost 70 years is off. Its very common, and I believe it is a simple fix. If not then cut frame and reweld. I will have to order the rest of the armor, bolt everything together, then adjust either the mounts or cut the frame,

It could also be that the rear floor isn't square...? Alternately, can you shoot the frame with a laser to see if it's skewed?
