Sorry all, havnt had a chance to touch it with the holidays,sickness etc. Parts have been coming in though. Got replacement sprocket wheels and idlers, the rear idler wheel pivot shaft i needed soooooo bad, and a winch for the front. So i have more than enough to still do, just need time. Im hoping to get back full time on her in a month,

Sorry guys, I havnt had alot of time in the last few months. I know its not much but here is the winch. It is unique to halftracks and took me awhile to find it. Tulsa the manufacturer sells re-manufactured units, but was told around 10gs. They have a pull of 20k

I used to rebuild Ramsay winches which are sort of similar, They are fairly simple units than can be fixed with standard bearings and bushings most times. Now if you need a gear that may be tougher to find.
Thats a fantastic project, good luck with the build.

Sorry for the long delay. Life has been full. New shipment of parts came in from gas tanks to wiring to all the rear armor etc.




Finally got the rear pivot shafts rebuilt and installed/painted. Started on wiring. Next week rad install, front and rear drive sprockets to be blasted and painted. Tons of small things to do


More updates coming more frequently as i have time now to get on her

At 10,000grand, he could have a new gear cut in India or China for much less!
