Hello, I am new here and would like to offer up my .308. Looking to get into a .243 bolt for hunting season. It has magpul CTR stock and AFG. Has national match guide rod as well as the bolt release button. Has a weatherby style muzzle brake and a red dot on it currently. What should I ask?

Wrong section there guy. Adds are meant to go on 'Equipment exchange'. Contact an admin so you can get permission to use that portion of the forums.
That said, you could probably get 1800-2100 bucks for you're rifle...though i'm sure more knowledgeable members can chime in on that..

I've seen a springfield match rifle for sale at 2000$ a few months ago. I doubt a Norinco would score as much.
I'd say maybe 1000-1250 depending on the red dot?

Depending on the Red Dot, and if you got the Chassis on one of a few deals that have popped up on the troy's from dealers your probably into the Norc for about $1900-$2100. Is it a bone stock Norc, or have you switched out op rod spring and spring guid, flash hider, or any other mods? I would have to say based on what you have provided for info the fair number is probably in the $1500 range, If you go by what the going rates are on the EE. D3vin is right though, you should ask for access to the EE and post in there. That is of course after you go to the greeting and Introductions tab and post a small greeting and introduce yourself to the rest of the forum as per the standard forum rules. Welcome to CGN!!

Adding a couple parts doesn't really increase value unless the whole rifle has been gone over by a recognized professional.
Used chassis , 850 - 20%
Used rifle 600 -20%
The uprgrade parts you mention say 300 - 20% , so say 1750.00 - 20% = 1400.00 maximum list price.
Round count and rifle's real time accuracy may move that number up or down 100 bucks or so.

The rifle I listed last week at 1800 shipped in a hard case breaks down like this
Original rifle 600 plus tax/shipping so 650
Minus barrel and original trigger parts , say 500
Krieger barrel 640.00 landed
NM trigger group (gi parts/wolfe springs) 400.00
Usgi bolt guts and wolfe springs 120.00
Sadlak NM guide rod and wolfe spring , 100.00 landed
NM2A rear sights 200.00
Usgi flash hider and front sight 180.00
Minty USGI fiberglass stock and handgaurd 250.00
I'll stop there and not include "gunsmithing by a professional" (450.00)
I've already hit 2300.00 (without a value for smithing attached) and "real" cost including cerakote ect is more like 2600.00.... Listed at 1800.00 with under 100 rounds
Should really be 2000.00 plus shipping but I figured 1800 was a fair price. I've been getting some down right silly offers on that rifle LOL
Just to give you guys an idea on "valuing" a rifle build.

Thank you very much! Greatly appreciated.. I have it up for sale on a few facebook groups here and there for 12/1300 it shoots roughly 1.5" @ 100 yds with a decent scope on er and really likes 168gn SMK gold medal match... seems to get the best results. smallest I saw was 1" and biggest was 3" all shot off a rest.
