M305 Alternatives?

Are there ANY other M14s/M1As that are NOT made by Norinco in the Canadian market? I always hear "M305 this, M305 that" but are there any Springfields around?

if your in ontario, gobles london (aweful store) has a springfield m1a in a synthetic stock for 2100

Is $2100 for a relatively complex rifle expensive or is $450 just cheap? Most bolt action rifles are fairly simple designs and you won't find many as inexpensive as a Norinco M14.

I am not biased in any way, but yes 2100 is way over the top for an M1A with parts made in Brazil.
Price point should be in the 1200 range.

LRB is a different beast, and IMO is worth it's commanding price.

Some of the Springfield Armory, Inc M1A parts are (were) made in Montreal at Alphacasting. I've seen photos of receivers made in Quebec. Who knew?

Why the heck do we always have to live with the insane inflated prices? 3K for a NR Sig that only shoots 5 rounds? You gotta be kidding me....

"...I always hear..." Price. SA Inc. rifles have always been over priced. They can do it because they were the only game in town, Stateside, for eons. Mind you, they're not using slave labour either.
"...parts made in Brazil..." Makes no difference. M1A's are sold based on the brand name.
"...should be in the 1200 range..." Not when you can sell everything you make for more. Ruger did the same thing with the Mini-14 for years. Over priced, inaccurate, piece of junk at twice what it's worth.

You can find springfield M1A's they are just hard to come by (recently acquired a National Match wood stock for $2200 and loving every minute of it)

Also there is LRB who make a good variant as well.
