M305 barrel removal

Maybe see if you can sell it and at what price before you do a hack job???
Just sayin.. Maybe even cash in hand before??

I put it up on ####### last month before I disassembled it to test the waters and see if there was any interest, put it up for 500$ with mags and wood heat shield and within 2 hours I had about 5 responses, so I took my ad down and waited till I had enough free time to start disassembling it. I know for a fact there is enough interest out their for spare parts to warrant this, so Im sure Ill at least get some of my money back. It sure beats the alternative of just holding on to another gun I can no longer shoot/never really enjoyed.

Seems fishy....

All the parts you would need to assemble a chi-com M14 are found on various websites in Canada....

You’ll need at least 80-100ft pounds of torque to break the barrel free from the receiver. Most Gunsmiths don’t bother to buy specialty tools for something like the M14. The barrel vice is easy, the receiver wrench.... not so much....

A solid barrel vise is necessary for most all debarreling and rebarreling work.
M305 receivers have been removed using a large open end wrench that fits the top and bottom flats of the receiver ring.
I have used my flat receiver wrench. Two 1" square bars that clamp together on those flats, with a pipe cheater applied.
I also have a purpose built M-1/M-14 receiver wrench.
More than one way to skin a cat. Whatever is used must not slip and must not crush.

If you don’t care about the receiver being functional it’s nothing that couldn’t be solved with a big enough bar and enough force.
