Just got mine!!!....Can't wait to hit the range!!...For anyone who wants to know...I ordered mine Mar 2 and received the rifle today..18 excruciating days of waiting.....Haha!!:D.......Anyone use Simple Green to clean all the oil off??

Thanks for posting! I ordered mine on march 3 so theoretically, tomorrow should be my day of joy!
Got the ammo almost 2 weeks ago! Talk about teasing a guy, lol!

She is all clean and ready to shoot...I ended up not using anything to clean her up...Just field stripped and wiped off excess oil with a rag....It didn't seem to be as soaked with oil as much as some pics posted here of other rifles...:D

I'm jealous of everyone here that already got their rifles! Just got my confirmation a couple of days back though that will be here next Monday. Just shy of a month. Sucks to live in Bantario! Can't wait to shoot it!

Placed my order for two rifles and two crates of ammo on March 3rd. Can-par dropped off the ammo this past Saturday. Hoping the rifles aren't too far behind! :)

Wanna say thanks to CanAm for this excellent deal.

The recoil was def. way less than 30-06 with same 150gn bullet. At first was concern with the metal buttstock. After 40 rnds no shoulder issues, the heft and semi sure helped reduce recoil. Typically quit after 20 rnds on XBolt, even with nice padded buttstock shoulder is aching.

Can't wait to go and try out mine. Cleaned it up last night and its ready to go.:D

I'll probably get out in the next few days.

Question: Is it normal for the slide lock to be pretty sensitive? Did I do something wrong when putting it back together?

I watched a few vids on taking it apart and putting it back together. I followed them exactly how they showed.

Pretty sensitive is the wife/GF after we spend all our cash/time on firearms. :D

Not sure what that means in a battle rifle

Haha....Funny thing is that when I was cleaning my rifle, my wife calls out from the kitchen and I thought she was going to yell at me for cleaning on the coffee table. Instead she asks "is it bad that I like the smell of that stuff?"

Anyways back to the rifle. When I try and lock the op rod back, sometimes (more often then not) it releases on its own:confused:. doesn't seem to want to lock back.

By lock the op rod do you mean pull back the bolt, then pushing the lever on the left to lock the bolt back (or with a mag in)?

I tried it on mine, lock tightly every time, can't even release by pulling on the left lever, have to pull back the bolt lever to release tension first.

Yeah sorry, I'm new to all this so my terminology and knowledge may not be all there:redface:

That being said, I was making a newbie mistake. I was not engaging the bolt lock properly, therefore the lock was just barely catching the bolt.:p

all is good now:D

Now just got to get out and shoot it.
