My case of ammo arrived today when I was at work. Wife didn't bat an eye (to my surprise). When I got home and she asked me "What's in the box?" I replied "I bought a case of ammo and they threw in a rifle." All good, the stars must be aligned just right for me. Normally she'd be spitting rocks. Although she did just spend three weeks in Mexico so maybe I've got a couple get-out-of-jail-free cards.

My 11 yr old son is pretty pumped about this rifle, maybe I should have gone for the bigger ammo package!

It won't be less accurate, though if you're relying on the iron sites, the shorter distance between them probably means a bit less accuracy in practice. With optics that would not make a difference.

A friend of mine who puts together all sorts of M305 builds says that the shorter barrels make for better accuracy, as there is less barrel vibration than in a full length barrel.
