M305 ejection issue with scope mount

So I finally had a chance to go out and shoot my new M305 but kept having some ejection issues where the brass was getting caught when the handle would come forward. Here is a pic I took, It was happening quite a bit and I am guessing the ejection and the scope mount are fighting each with other.

I'd wager it's the scope turret, not the mount, that is kicking the brass back into receiver. Maybe try sliding it back and forth to find a location that works for you nad functions.
 
Is that an ARMS 18 mount? Those mounts are really low and don't play nice with the Chinese bolt internals, which set the ejection angle a little higher than USGI internals.

I would order a set of USGI bolt springs from Treeline M14 (or other vendor). The GI sprngs will lower ejection angle and should fix your issue.

You could also trim your chinese ejector and extractor springs by 2 coils each. This fixes the issue SOME of the time, but the chinese springs are a different diameter and coil twist than GI springs.

New GI springs almost always fixes the issue. It's what I recommend when asked.
 
Mine does the same thing fairly often. I'll try new springs myself, thanks for the info.
 
As Claven said try trimming a couple coils of the ejector and extractor spring . I have had to do this a few times now .The tricky part is getting the bolt apart and together again. If you have access to a bolt disassembly tool the job is easy peasy .
 
Before trimming springs try turning the scope 90° counterclockwise so the adjustment turret doesn't possibly knock the shell back in. It worked for me with my mount like that.

This would work albeit a little unconventional. Also, if you have a side parallax turret, it would probably not work. You could try positioning the scope a little further forward. It looks like you have some room for that if it doesn't screw up your eye-scope ocular position too badly. If this doesn't do the trick, trim the ejector spring as mentioned.

I've used this and seen it used on "M-14s" and Mini-14s plus a couple of other top eject semis.
 
I received the 2 USGI bolt springs from www.treelinem14.com the other day. Installed them. Just got back from the range and happy to report the problem is fixed!

The issue was exactly the same. NORINCO m305. Arms 18 scope mount. Brass getting caught while being ejected. Exactly the same as the picture in the first post.

Just need some USGI springs! And I changed them without that brownell tool. There's a good YouTube video how to do it with your hands and I used a torx bit screw driver.
