After about 3500 rounds, I have a chipped firing pin. A semi-circular sliver from the radius of the firing pin tip is visible, and moves independently from the bulk of the pin.
Does anyone know if US spec replacement firing pins fit the Norc bolts?
Further, I was going to order from Treeline but are there better sources? Also, while I'm eating shipping and brokerage costs, anything else I should be getting as spare parts (ejector, springs, etc.)?
Update:
It would appear that I made a premature diagnosis. After stripping the bolt it looks like the firing pin is fine but there was a chunk of metal that looks like a portion of the firing pin tip. Weird.
I will have to order from the US anyway. Upon reassembling the bolt I experienced the infamous "sproing" and the ejector has hidden itself somewhere in the bowels of the workshop. My guess is that it will turn up when the newly ordered part is delivered.
Pic below: On the left is the firing pin, on the right is the piece of metal that was around the pin, inside of the bolt. This must have been there from the factory. The reverse side of the firing-pin tip is symmetrical and looks like the side pictured.
