Geez, Here we go again!!
M1A vs M305
Seafury, you and I both were at the Calgary clinic and we both know the strengths and weaknesses of both guns. I guess my point is that both sides of the coin could argue all day long about "which one is the best and reigning king" or "who's #### is longer", for all that it matters!
It's like a Ford guy arguing with a Dodge guy as to who's is best, or a Conservative arguing with a Liberal as to who forms the better government.
In the end....IT DOESN'T MATTER EVERYONE...."CAUSE THEY'RE

BOTH

FRIGGIN' M14.....

COPIES!!

Since Very few of us has prohibited status on our PAL's, then nobody's rifle is better than the other, because we cannot legally own an original. Our rifles are both COPIES of an original. Both are damn fun to shoot and both can be turned into damn fine shooters. If you like and M1A...good for you....I like my Poly...good for me...if a newbie wants to know the difference, then we tell 'em straight out.
(change of scenery) Some guy came to an open mic with a $25,000 guitar. Pure artwork. It still sounded like a toy. To him it was magic, to some of us, junk, to the rest it was cool. In the end it didn't matter, because the guy playing a $200 Fender Squire (Cheapass guitar) was just a happy camper too!
If you like your M1A, more power to you. I ain't judging. If comments are made pertaining to the quadruple cost of it compared to an M305, don't sweat it because they still shoot the same.
