M305 Flash hider

Look on the bottom of the rear collar. They may be dressed off. Could be a couple of spot welds.

Simple question. Are all Norinco Flash hiders tack welded? I need to remove mine but I can't really see the welds.

Thanks

Paul

Yes sir there are, if you look down the barrel you will see a set screw under the front sight, go ahead and removed it. it's a retaining screw for the castle nut, remove the castle nut, and heat the spot welds (5-7 o'clock position)

using map gas, be sure to wrap the barrel with a soaked rag. a couple of taps and your in business.

Happy shooting. :sniper:

In my little impromptu study if you look at the numbers below the stock line on the left side of the receiver,if it starts with a 3 they usually come off very easy.Just remember to loosen the castle nut and preload the hider with it(unscrew it so its pushing the hider off)I haven't had much luck if the number starts with a 4, but some other people have said they've come off OK.
