M305 Flash Hider!

If I get it off, can I reinstall it at a different angle?

Nope. Its all about the splines. You could turn it 120 degrees left or right, but that REALLY buggers up the sight alignment.
Just cant get around that lousy FH machining.
Remove..discard...replace.

These are a great rifle but some need a bit of tweaking .A comman fault in these rifles is the flashider being crooked , some of these are due to incorrect barrel indexing ( Barrel is under tightened or over tightened onto the receiver) .
Or some have the front sight bases themselves milled at an angle so the front sight still leans to one side.

Look down your barrel from the muzzle end does the gas system and front sights / bayo lug appear to be out of alignment ? If so and the front sights are leaning to the left the barrel is under indexed and needs to be tightened onto the receiver more. If the sights are leaning to the right when looking from the muzzle end the barrel is over indexed (over tightened) .

The flashhider has (non adjustable) lugs that align it to the barrel . Take a good look at it to make sure the base itself isnt milled at an angle.
