Is it normal for the sight to be quite a bit smaller than the block? Mine is Maybe only 1/2 the size of the block it clamps on and is oriented all the way extreme right. Set screw on the back of it for movement. I've never seen another so curious
 
I'm in the middle of a build now but this gets my attention next. I was thinking send it out for a cut and rethread. New flash hider, op rod guide, sights, stock possibly. It's next on the modification block so maybe this explains why guy I got it from on trade shot 20 through it
 
I put the old Norinco front sight on a new flash hider and the alignment was near perfect. I shaved about .08 inches off the top of the front sight and now sighted at 100 yards with 8 clicks up on rear sight. (Garand rear sight.)
