M305 is heavy

May be you guys need a heavier M305?

I guess you macho men remove the cleaning kit from the stock so you can fill it with depleted uranium?

You could then screw 2-3 feet of picatiny rail all over the gun so you can mount a bipod, a laser, a flashlight, glass and red dot?

This way you can have a weapon that is as heavy as you "feel" right, no?

or one of those "baby strollers" i hear they work well
get a chain drive lawn mower hooked up to the rear wheels so you don't have to push it either

Macho men think the M305 is not heavy...

Some of them even miss heavier weapons they carried when they were grunts.

I got a solution: slide a few weight disks on the muzzle suppressor.

Who said a rifle was any different from a DUMBbell?

I bet you will "feel" that you improved your weapon instantly.

Ooooh and you tough boys will love how it dampers that really nasty recoil.

Nah... really: can anyone tell me how the weight reduction of a semi-automatic rifle like the M305 can ever be a bad thing?

And silly me! I thought this subject was taken care of?
Get a Nurse with big BOOBS lift and lower, repeat several times, you are now ready to handle the M14:D

A) Remove cleaning kit from the stock: -276 grams

B) Remove the hinged buttplate, remove the 2 plastic tubes in the stock, disassemble be hinged buttplate and reinstall the buttplate minus that useless chunk of steel on a hinge: -222 grams

C) Use a 5 round magazine instead of the 5/20 round magazine: -129 grams

D) Remove the cartridge clip guide : - 30 grams

If you do all that you lose 657 grams or, if you prefer, about 1 pound and 7,1 ounces.

For your information, the Norinco synthetic stock weighs 1245 grams (2 pounds and 11,9 ounces).

On the other hand, there is the ninja alternative:

A) Remove the hinged buttplate
B) Remove the 2 tube used to keep the cleaning kit in the stock

...and then...

TA DA!

You just have this new huge cavity in the stock in which you can screw a couple of feet of picatinny rails!

Imagine the possibilities: you could mount a flahslight in there so you can look at your nice picatinny rail cover and extra flashlight batteries!

Why should you be afraid of dead weight?

... but that's not all!

Check out this alternative for the ones among us that are less secure about their masculinity:

A) Remove the hinged buttplate
B) Remove the 2 tube used to keep the cleaning kit in the stock

...and then...

TA DA!

You have a huge cavity that you can fill with:

- sand
- concrete
- lead
- depleted uranium

This way you can obtain a weapon as heavy as the one Major Simon said you had to carry all day like a donkey when you were a grunt a couple generations ago.

Make a video of you doing all the "gunsmithing" and then run around your yard with your rifle held well above your head and upload it on youtube!

Show us how though you are! (We really care!)

Don't forget to put some background music: Macho man from the Village People would sound perfectly appropriate.

I just got my M14 with walnut stock...I can see where OP is coming from :p

My excuse is 4 years of university have turned my body into a withered husk. At least I got some motivation to start working out now!

mines closer to 12-13lbs, extra weight added
tactical foregrip
mount
scope
bipid
cheekrest

really makes it difficult to shoulder fire the weapon... that or i need to build my arms strength
