So I have noticed the op rod guide is loose... Ive seen videos on knurling it, could I just tack weld it ? How has everyone else dealt with this ? It makes my spring guide rod almost useless having a wiggly op rod guide...

That's pretty much what I do.
I've found that if you do 2-3x the number of dimples shown in the pic above then loc-tite is not required!
Cheers!
Thanks ! Just drop loc-tite in there or what ?
That was a half way done pic, I didn't have an all done pic

Thanks for all the help guys ! Im really trying to embrace the platform and bring it up to par without putting a giant hole in my wallet.
Appearance wise I wish I got the short barrel though lol ! Hopefully the wood stock will make me fall in love with it.
Surprisingly im shooting 3 inch groups with Chinese ammo even with this loose part ! lol
I wouldn't be welding on the barrel for any reason, the heat from the weld changes the structure and you can end up with a large stress riser and changed crystalline structure. Not desirable when you are running upwards of 60,000 PSI through the pipe.
Peening and 680 Loctite works quite well for retaining the guide, the worst part is if you ever want to take it off again... it really holds well.
