K so as not to appear stupid I had a TRW m14 in c/a( many years back)...came apart like a dream but am I missing something here?? Unload the rifle,no mags in it,safety on,move the trigger guard up and away forward and the trigger assembly should lift out...Fast forward to today..
Picked up a m 305..NIB..and cannot get the trigger assembly out for love nor money. The stock is soaked in a light oil and I am wondering if from the oil soak the stock wood has swollen and is holding the assembly locked in tight? Actually the whole rifle appears to have oil on it and not cosmoline.
I wanted to take it apart and degrease it but at this point its a no go...even when working on the stock my hands are coated in oil and if I take and pressure the stock in any place...oil just soaks out.
Any thoughts??...cooking tips?? Recipes??? or should I just say screw it and fire up the chainsaw and carve all the wood away???
