any ideas , anyone want to do the DXF files ? for a aluminum stock , I am leaning towards either a galil or a scar configuration, should it mount to a modded m305 plastic stock ? at this point I am just throwing ideas out there , water jet ,machining and tig welding is covered, looking for input on this project I need 5 myself , I like the scar style rifles but not sure where to get the parts galil side folder seems more viable at this time

I remember when I had a M1A SOCOM, I really liked this, it's a Reese stock. Would have been a good project, and at the time the "price was right" for the stock. Cheers

just found the blackfeather stock,no point in reinventing the wheel ,not sure how I missed this stock in earlier searches

the blackfeather is a reinvention of the wheel as well, I say reinvent away, you might come up with something very cool ;)

@ Tactical Teacher - there is a clunky esthetic to the Choate products that doesn't stir my soul. Even when they first appeared in the 70's (in Soldier of Fortune magazine), I was not inspired to buy one. The Reese stock more closely resembles the Italian BM59, and that is an attractive design. It might work exactly the same, but the lines are more appealing.
