M305 Mag problem. Help pls.

I bought my M305 new last fall and it runs well with the mags that came with it. No issues.

Over the winter I purched two more 20/5 mags.
One is the sleek German made model from Corwin Arms. This one also operates perfectly.

The other one I bought was from a different site sponsor. It looks identical to the original Norc mag except it has a visible rivet in the side. I gave up on using it this past weekend. 4 times I loaded it up and went through firing the rounds. 4 times in a row the last round got jammed in varying and sometimes scary looking positions.

Any ideas why the last round keeps jamming?
 
I'm having the same problem with 5/20 KCI mags for my M305. Rounds jamming, bolt won't stay open on empty mag. Garbage, never again KCI. It's not the gun or ammo as I have over dozen mags from several manufactures and only problems with KCI. The Corwin Arms mags run perfect every time.
 
I bought two from corwin as well... that I gave to a buddy... no matter what I did I could not get them to function in my Martstar M305. They worked fine in my buddies M305 shorty. After the first shoot the mag would come loose. The other one I could not charge a round. It would hang up on the top round in the mag.
 
How and where is it jamming? Jams are caused by the lips being malformed or the follower not being right.
The rivet might be the culprit though. It might be stopping the follower from going all the way up.
 
Not sure if it was the right thing to do but I was having a simaler problem with my new norc mag just playing with snap caps. It seemed like the bolt was dragging across the mag follower so I slapped some grease on the bottom of the bolt and a bit on the mag. Works great now but I'm worried about getting grease in the chamber. Still haven't had a chance to shoot the damn thing yet.
 
I bought one from a local shop that does the same sh!t. First it wouldn't fit in the rifle. It needed to be filed all over the place just to get it in. Then the RH feed lip is poorly formed and does not retain the last round when the bolt slams back. Its disheartening to look at a major crimp in an expensive match bullet in a round you spent some time loading. Its been sitting on the shelf until I feel like fiddlefu(king with it some more. There's no markings on it, just a rivet through the side. Floorplate is not welded.
 
Bump this up!!!!

I picked up 2 5/20 mags from wolverine from what I've read their KCI mags. My problem is there not retaining the last round.
At close to 90 bucks after taxes and shipping I'm not impressed!! Is there a fix for this??
FYI each mag has only had 20rds loaded and fired.
 
You probably need to tune the feed lips. I measured a mag that worked properly and then bent the KCI mag feed lips to the same measurement. This worked great for me.
 
Same here. I also found the KCI feed lips do not have any radius, they are straight bends. Rounding them with a bumping hammer around a steel dowel helped.

If it isn't more than a teaspoon amount, don't worry. The M305/M14 is a beast that eats grease & rounds and sh!ts lead boolits... literally! Unless you have a match Springfield, it won't bother it.

As for the magazines: I often wonder if intentional attempts to "improve" the original design with slight variances has only meant problems.
