Hi,is there a way better than the rivet to lock the mag to 5 rounds,thanks

Disassemble the mag and insert a wooden block that will fit between the coils of the spring. You may want to shoe goo it to the mag floor plate.

my M14 mags all have a metal spacer tack welded to the bottom of the follower. If they consider rivets, permanent, then tack welds should suffice.
