Hello everyone. First time on here ,so hope someone can help me out , I just bought a Norinco M305 from Wolverine supplies & added a Archangel Chassie from Allied Arms ,Looks smoking hottt, But I hate the stock Flash arrestor , Not having any luck online to purchase a nice clean looking Muzzle Brake , So if anyone can steer me in the right direction i would appreciate. Thanks

Hey thanks that was quick ,,Now al i have to do is figure out how i can set in a pic of my M305 sitting on the Archangel ?

If you want a break under $100 give me a shout. My friend is going to be selling them soon, I am testing them for him.

i am waiting for revision two to test. These screw directly onto the Chinese threads

Blackrose Tactical http://www.blackrose-tactical.com/ sells muzzle brakes specifically made for Norinco's with metric threading so you don't have to cut your barrel. Unfortunately it doesn't have the dovetail for your front sight, so if you're shooting iron sights it's not a good muzzle brake. But if you're using optics and don't care about losing you irons then it works great!

Hi. A muzzle brake and a flash hider are two different things. As you can see, some brakes also reduce the muzzle flash, but not all flash hiders reduce the muzzle jump. All muzzle brakes will increase the muzzle blast and noise for everybody around you. If the brake/hider you decide on is Stateside, don't mention M-14. M-14 parts are restricted for export by the U.S. government. M1A parts are not.

Springfield Armory brake from Brownells. It comes with the Castlenut removal tool.
You will need to buy the proper height front sight which is one compatible with the Springfield Scout Squad rifle.

actually i had bought the regular m1a front sight from brownells ... but when i compare it to the norc, the front post is much smaller on the new sight ! so i'll have to inquire about the scout sight ...

but before that...I gotta get a new bolt to sort out that problem first .. ( honestly... if some dealer where to import all the parts in Canada... BOLT, BARREL, SIGHTS, Castle nut, they could make some easy bucks as there are piles of people looking for that and no one to dependably fill that slot !!!! )

Did you reuse your Norinco front sight or did you order the Springfield Scout Squad sight from Springfield?

A USGI Castlenut is not compatible with Norinco barrels.
You will need to reuse the Norinco castle nut from what I have been told.
Also the Allen bolt that holds the front sight and the Allen setscrew that locks the castle nut in place will need to be USGI spec if you put a Springfield brake on.

that is true !! the norc castle nut only goes with the norc barrel... I just spun on a criterion med barrel on my norc reciever... and the usgi castle nut fits on that like a glove

yep... got the right set screw for the brake aswell... after jump through hoops for the first stuff ... you get savy pretty quickly that every wiggly part has to be double checked to be sure it'll fit

by the way... the criterion barrel spun on very easily ...and it didn't take much to get it timed perfectly .... actually you have to be careful ! if you were to put alot of pressure on it, i can see it being overclocked very quickly ... my set back at the moment is that the norc bolt has a larger headspace than my clymer nogo gauge. I'd like to have the headspace within spec but to find a new bolt in Canada is difficult to say the least .....

sadly i'm not ... im up in the blind river area

otherwise i would have loved to go...

everything is going good with the build, just need to get a bolt and lap
