M305 Op Rod Bent?

I wonder if I can get it replaced under warranty? Don't really want to send the whole rifle in at this point, now that I"ve got it working. I'll message Wolverine Supplies tomorrow. Got it from them a few months ago.

Yep, took her to the range a few days ago and got her all sighted in. It's F'n amazing with that stock. Love that rifle. Love the iron sights too. I was only getting 3 inch groupings at 100 meters, but next time I'll try and see what kind of group I can get from the prone position.

The tab on new oprods are generally over sized. This is because they have to fit in "worn receivers" and/or production tolerances.

Ill see if I can find the instructions I used. some people stone them, I went with 400 emery cloth.

Basically all you do is use a marker to darken the oprod and tab. Stick it in, try to move it, take it out, few passes on the points that show the marker removed. re-apply marker repeat. It also helped to take a bent stick (or substitute) and the emery cloth to schmoooge out all the milling marks in the op rod tab slot.

I used this method, was at it for almost two hours, just finished a little while ago. But man what a difference it's made. My new op rod is actually straight now as compared to the old, the action feels better - smoother.
Was an op rod from Dlask.

so I just bought a NEW ZEALAND new m14 , and it has the same problem , I will spend some time on the bolt and the op rod ..... I am also getting failure to eject due to the expended shell hitting the scope mpunt and dropping back into the breech causing a jam , I have milled the scope mount out a bit to see if this works , ... I will take pics of markings and such if people are interested in the ones from over here , the are stamped sprng mich etc etc
cheers

That is a common problem, get a machinist to machine a 45 deg chamfer on the underneath right side
