Hey folks,

Just got a new M305 and I'm about to embark on a journey you're all likely familiar with. I'm low on cash but eager to start tweaking. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that some people add weight to the junky plastic stocks. Couldn't find any info with a google search so I thought I'd try the CGN gurus.

Any other mods or tweaks I can do myself that are recommended. I'm pretty handy (I'm and industrial designer and a luthier) but no gunsmith to be sure. I'll be replacing the op rod spring and spring guide first I imagine...

Any tips would be appreciated.

My pockets are feeling lighter already come to think of it...

Read the stickies.
Test for function.
Take it apart and rebuild it with the love it never got in China and grease it up as per the stickies.
Then go shoot it before making any changes and get yourself a set of benchmark groups. (Gives you a basemark to compare any changes with, and only one change at a time )
Amazingly, some of them are good out of the box............you might have got lucky :)

Good luck and tight groups.

Thanks for the feedback folks. Read through all the stickies - great info there. Nothing mentioned about adding weight to the stock that I could find though.
I'm tempted to smooth some of the sharp edges on the stock and hit it with some krylon OD.
