So I finally got it all together,
Arms 18 mount blue loctite
Burriss Signature rings
Meopta 6x42 scope
Winchester brass
Varget 43 1/2 grns.
168 grn nosler ballistic tip
Temperature 38 F
wind 5mph on my back
Time between shots 3 minutes
Sighted the rifle in at 100 yds 3 rounds into 1 1/2 inch but the rifle felt like a tuning fork. went and got the tool kit cleaned and made sure everything was tight. Everything looked good to go.
Moved out to the 200 yard range [I can shoot out to 600 yards behind the house]
first round again the tuning fork effect, did the once over on the rifle and still do not see anything. Fired my last 2 rounds for the group all in 3 inches. But the vibration is really bugging me now.
Took the rifle in and checked it over close from stem to stern and find that one of the webs on the muzzle flash is cracked and if you hit it with the plastic end of a screw driver would vibrate.
I Remove the flashhider but the threads and the way the end of the barrel look without it I decided to cut the flash hider off in front of the barrel giving it lots of protection.I now replce everything and back to the range.
Fired three more at 200 and put everything into 1 1/2 inches I decided I had fluked it so fired three more again 1 1/2 inches.
Moved out to the 300 yd range the three round here where at 3 inches.
Moved out to the 400 yd range the three rounds here went a hair under 5 inches.
I am now tired of walking back and forth and decided to call it quits for the day. I have decided to not put a new flash hider on but to buff up and reblue the one i cut off as this battle rifle seems to do great things with just the end of the broken one.
The Meopta scope at 6x is just about as clear a piece of optics as i have ever seen. Clear from edge to edge as sharp a sight picture as on either my mk4 or my NF glass.
The only thing I did not like about the test was the trigger on the 305 is something i will have to address next. The rifle shoots well enough to maybe [ if i sell a few things] deserve one of those fancy aeiou100 stocks.

One of the M-305's (esquif's actually, the very first .308 I ever fired) I tried had the "tuning fork" effect to it ... The thing went dinggggggg every time it was fired ... For some reason, to me that felt right ... Like the rifle was "in tune" I guess ... When I can finally afford one I hope and pray that mine is that "tight".

The "tuning fork" is actually a good thing....despite how you may think, it means that the rifle has a practically free-floated barrel, which will positively affect your accuracy.

Sounds like you have a good one.

once the flash hider problem was removed there is no longer the tuning fork effect. Plus the tightening of groups tells me the vibration should never have been there, if it was a good things groups should have been smaller with it left on.
Cutting it off seems to have worked the same as Brownings barrel tuning system.
