Dear Guys,

Let me start by saying that Hungry is one awesome guy. He and I rebuilt my M305 tonight in under 2 hours. She now is a tack driving all USGI rifle.

It consists of all H&R parts with USGI NM sights front and rear. Everything is as tight as you can get without overextending your hammer swinging club/arm. Now I've been told to get my butt out to the range - he's jealous of my toy. Don't worry Barney, I'll be buying some lottery tickets as per your request.

It went slick as grease with the exception of the barrel lock screw - wasn't as bad as he thought it might be.

We set it all up and now she looks the part - no neutered flash suppressor either.

Dropped her back into the boyd's walnut stock and she's hot, hot hot! She sings like a fine tuning fork - pinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng!

He passed on his kung fu very well and imparted a new zen upon this humble grasshopper. If anybody in the Toronto area might need my help, I'd be happy to get you going.

I'll be getting the tools to do a rebuild within the next little while, so you other CGN's can get my help.

No pics right now, but I'll have em up within the next few days. I'm still on the road until Saturday.

So as I said before - I'll be more than happy to help out our fellow CGN's.

All the best, Carl

Glad to hear your build has come together Carl...... can't wait for a range report ;) I suppose master Hungry approved of the choice parts i sent yer way hehehehe ..... gotta spread the m14 love :D :dancingbanana: :sniper: :sniper:

Those parts were all Fzcken A!! Super tight op rod guide. Bolt closed without any slop on the Norc reciever. NM Flash hider was tuned (hogged out for accuracy) already. NM front sight brought a sigh to my breath. I have not seen one of those for a long while.
The PING test was loud, longggg, and bright. Most intense ping test!! The parts are so new, they needed the 60 degrees to get the op rod and bolt to close instead of the usual 30 degree test that many of you M14 clinic people know.

You are one lucky guy with this build..... Pass on the knowledge !!
Peace be to journey!!

Thomas,

As the master said himself - he loved the parts. Now I have an all H&R M14/M305. Well on my way to having my DMR - going to have the stock real soon, thanks to another CGN. Truly awesome help from everyone.

It's a thing of beauty, you helped me out immensely with the parts:dancingbanana:! 45ACPKING is the best. Hungry just better:D;)!

Seriously guys thanks so much. I will indeed help out anybody else who needs my help in Toronto and GTA.

Pics will be up soon, as promised.

Barney, have a good shoot in Connaught and a safe trip. May the Good Lord provide dry skies and calm winds. 1000m is a bi**h with said conditions.

All the best, Carl
