Hey guys,

I just recently got a Norc m305 it's dressed up in a usgi synthetic stock and has a vltor cluster rail. I love this gun. I bought it off a fellow CGN'r and when I got it I was giving it a function test and found that I couldn't operate the safety. It engages but doesn't stay it just pops out. When I took the Trigger assembly out nothing seems wrong. But it just clicks in and out never staying on safe. Has anyone else ran I to this? Is it a simple fix or do I need a smith to look at it. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks Mark

you're going to feel so silly once you do a search on the topic, this has been addressed a number of times. I could tell you what the answer is but I'm sure you will figure it out soon enough.

The safety will not engage unless the rifle is cocked.
To lighten up the safety I put mine in a vice with the trigger guard undone and facing up.
I taped the trigger guard out of the way and put a screwdriver through the hole in the safety.I used two hands and then I worked the safety back and forth ALOT

This loosened mine up .

To MarkArma 180 and Pres717 did you do the trigger test after assembly to ensure the hammer doesn't follow the bolt forward ?

This is a very important test ...

I use a pen. Just rip at that thing for a while and it'll smooth up.
