M305 scope power(s) options for general duty?

So now that I have my M305 on the way from Marstar I'd like to get a scope for it too. The rifle is going see general purpose duty, so yes to hunting medium/large game, target shooting and plinking...heck we'll even use it to turn gophers into a fine red mist. I'm not sure what power(s) of scope I should be looking for, what do you guys think?

I'll put a Bushnell Elite 3200 10x40mm Mil Dot.

I've got a Bushnell 3200 3-10 x 40mm anxiously waiting to be mounted...hmmm, that don't sound right.

The variable scope gives you more options for a general purpose gun as you've described.

i've got a 3x9 busnell on mine- i find the 40mm violates the see thru with the bottom of the bell
