Took my m305 shorty I purchased from CanAm to the range today for the first time...didn't know what to expect since it's my first m305. I was more than pleasantly surprised! The rifle shot beautifully. I was able to shoot a 2" group at 50m from a sitting position using the irons with Norinco ammo. The only thing I had done to the rifle prior to shooting it was to swap out the mag release and op rod to an NEA op-rod and tactical mag-release.
I have to say I'm really impressed with this rifle. Not only does it shoot/cycle well but the fit and finish was much better than expected. The receiver has a nice dark finish to it with no excessive tooling marks. The sights lined up very nicely and the rear sight operates flawlessly. Even the safety is easy enough to engage/disengage. Under $600 for a semi-auto full powered battle rifle and 520 rounds of ammo...doesn't get any better. Thank you Canada Ammo!
