M305 shorty front sight ears don't protect the sight post

Which one did you go with?

I used a norc site for a long bbl one I had in the parts box. yes yes I hear all the time you have to have a taller site to compensate for the short bbl. seems there is lots of room on the rear site on mine to dial it down to 100m. after I had it proved out that there was enough room on the rear site,I put the original tall site in the mill and trimmed it down to where it should be and put it back on actually.

Okay cool. I also ordered a USGI front sight so it will basically be the same process for me.
