OK, I know I am a glutton for punishment, but I am at a loss on this one. My ancient Nork M-14 wanna-be (so ancient it has the all blued receiver and barrel) that has been through Hungry's rescue program (twice!) - yet still cant shoot at 125 yards!
I set up at 25 yards to sight in - I replaced the Nork sights with $90 M1 rear sights and she still shoots worse than any of my SKS's!!!
At 25 yards, I am hitting the bull with my rear sight set for 500 yards...so I up it to 600 yards and I am hitting 1-2 inches above the bull. Then I move to the 125 yards stall, and I am nowhere on paper even??? I set the battle sights to flat and I am hitting 50 yards IN FRONT of the back stop!
I try at 600 and eventually on 800 yards rear sight setting to get on paper - groups are spectacular (when I can get them on paper!) WTF am I doing wrong? DO I have to change the front sight too?
Using SA surplus .308 FMJ 150 grain boat tail.
any suggestions from the gurus???
