Thanks for the replies. When the nightshifts are over, I'll whittle that balsa wood out of the ferrule and glue it to the walnut. I'm totally impressed with this rifle. After filing down the front sight so that it was zeroed at 200m when the rear sight was 6 clicks up, I can consistently hit the 400m gong at the local range with the norc irons, even with the shyte stock.
Hungry here: Glad that you shaved down that overly long front sight post... now with your aperture only 6 kliks up for the 200 zero, you have got a nice low cheek weld. Well done blasting the gong at 400 mikes. That's an accomplishment !! That must make you feel proud, especially in light of the price you paid for the Norinco bangstick.
