M305 Vs Cz858

I found the only M305 I have shot to be heavy, awkward and crude. It had a nice 10 X mildot scope and with good handloads was quite accurate at 400 yds. It is necessary to be a brass whore if you load your own.

My 858 is light, handy and well engineered. It has a red dot with no magnification. I can hit a 4" gong everytime at 150 yds and the centre of a 12" gong every time at 200 yds. At 400 yds I can hit a 12" gong once in every three shots on a windy day. ( I have only shot it at that distance on windy days ) Ammo is dirt cheap. I have no plans to buy a M305.

Here is a couple of pics of the sight set up on mine. It looks higher in the pic than what it really is. It can be removed in seconds and reinstalled without loss of zero. I can shoot it a lot faster and with better accuracy with the red dot.

well, guess it will be the 858, and the CX4 first... but is there any "old fashion" scope, kinda like something that would look to be 50 years ols, to match with the rifle ( i just have a problem with 2007 optics on a 1950ish rifle)

p.s. M305 guys you can still make me change my mind ;)
 
Yeah I did try almost every configuration ;)
I like the saw grips....ideal for people with big hands or people whom prefer thicker grips.

IDK about the M305 out of the box quality, I've read that the stocks suck as well as a couple other parts.

I will say this, the cz858 is a solid well made rifle, I personally prefer the way it handles over the C7 we have in the mil, but thats just my opinion. Others will say the opposite. Both are effective tools in Afghanistan.
 
SAW grips are from the US ....Tapco made for AKs ....

wood is from Czech ....I got several sets in my last shipment.......

i havent shot a C7 but quite interested in getting an AR, would you please elaborate on the handling of the CZ858 over the C7 and does the new C7A2 change your opinion.
 
i own a cz858 it is an excellent weapon but it is by no means a tack driver i've been shooting the c7 since it first came into service in 89 and it can out shoot most people who use it . the only reason i don't own one is that i dont want the added hassles of having a restricted rifle.

Never shot an a2 but I find the cz jsut fits me better for some reason. The c7 has a lot of little rattles too I guess.

I haven't handled an m-14 but I think the 858 is quite a bit lighter. You can is make an m305 very accurate but that isnt' out of the box or cheap.

bull #### on that statement.


an outof the box m305 is 1.5 - 2"

spend 30 bucks and to get a NM spring guide, 100 to get a good stock and your STILL under the price for a new 858.
