Putting an ARMS 18 on my M305 and just dont want the 'bing' problem when shells are hitting the ARMS. Anyone got solutions?

I have heard that replacing the extractor spring with a GI replacement will fix this and then it will eject properly - out the side more and less upwards. At the same point should I also replace the extractor?

The ARMS 18 is known for that...

I don't seem to have the problem. Maybe it's the buffer behind my op rod spring that alleviates the problem. Don't know. Maybe next trip to the range, I'll take it out and see. Anyway, mine works fine.

Sell the ARMS and get a Smith mount...

Add me to the list that never experienced a brass contact with the ARMS # 18 (ONE piece long picatinny rail). Maybe we just got lucky, who knows ?

i'm considering the Weaver one also, can't go wrong for the price & I don't require the best mounts & scope on an M14...no offense!
