Yes and yes. I'm being quite serious too. I have seen chrome lined barrels and there is a mount for a red dot. Kevin M has one on his 1919.

For those considering this make sure you get clarification from North Sylva that factory 30-06 ammo will work. My TNW 1919 in 30-06 had to have a very specific overall length of the cartridge in order to extract the round from the belt and chamber it.
that optic mount will not work on a M37. the M37 doesnt have the same left side as a 1919.
