I put an EER scope on my M38 ( mount fits in rear sight base, no permanent alteration to rifle, I'm no bubba!) put a Vortex EER scope on it, so far it's holding up. Opened up a tin of circle10 7.62x54R Bulgarian ammo. The stuff shoots patterns in my PU but I'm getting 1.5" groups at 100yds out of the little carbine. It was too cold at the range yesterday to take pictures ( -5 degrees cold and snow, I was only guy on the range for 5 hours on a Saturday morning!) Man that little carbine was a hoot! Very nice trigger and amazing accuracy. Loud as hell, but an accurate 30'06 power carbine is something to reckon with. If I can get a decent soft point load may take this puppy out in April and do a little bear hunting. Much handier than the full size Mosins., try one, you might like it. By the way, recoil was not that bad. I'll try and add a pic after I have my brekkie;)

Works great to keep anyone from setting up at the bench next to you, almost as good as a SVTLaugh2

Interestingly I find it doesn't kick that badly, I find my K31 much more stout on recoil, stock design in part I guess and higher velocity load. All in all a really delightful powerful lead slinger.
