So surfing around MosinNagant.net I found a bit of info on M38 slings.

Found one on ebay for 17$ and it came in today from http://www.ebay.ca/usr/asparagys. He's in Bulgaria

Brass Buckle and sling ends come to a point. Pretty happy with it. So my Question is this the correct sling for a 1944 M38 ? or should I find the non adjustable one ?

The three primary slings of the m/38 carbine are shown above. The most common in issue was the bottom sling which could be considered "standard issue". A web sling of light kahki color it is easily identified by the leather reinforcements on each sling end that come to a point. Also the solid brass buckle is an indicator with its short length. The middle sling is a leather version of the m/38 sling that while issued in large numbers is not very common today being secondary to the web sling on the bottom. It also has the solid brass buckle and is of carbine length. The top sling is bar far the most uncommon of the carbine slings and is a non adjustable type of simple web construction and of carbine length. It is assumed this sling was a wartime shortcut version to save on the brass buckles cost and need elsewhere for war material production.

Same style of sling that I'm using on my M38. It originaly came with my SVT 40. So I purchased a correct SVT 40 / PPSH 41 sling on Ebay, a couple of years ago.

To the best of my knowledge, the 91/30s, M38s, and the M44s used the same slings.

They all used the same style sling, but the M91/30 sling was longer than those for the carbines. M38 slings had a pointy leather reinforcing piece - as shown in the original post - M44 slings were the same length as M38, but had the same fittings/reinforcings as the M91/30 slings.

I imagine M38 slings were used on M44s.

Two days ago, i found this sling for my newly acquired M38. I bought the sling long long time ago and have forgot her in a closet until now when i remembered to have bought such sling. Its a Mosin carbine sling, non adjustable but origin unknow, no marking on it. Now my M38 look just right. :)

To the OP: I find it kindof funny, but with an screen name like DILLIGAF, one would think you wouldn't care much about the semantics of the intricate differences of Mosin slings..... Just a thought is all ;)
