Anyone know where, or if it's possible, to get a wood or synthetic sporter stock for a M38 Husky Swede? This is for a rifle that has already been drilled and tapped:( , so restoring is already out of the question. I thought I'd make a nice hunting rifle for my son or wife. I here that the 6.5X55mm is a fantastic hunting cartridge. I'm not looking for a cut down military stock, as they do not have a pistol grip.

I don't see any stocks in Wholesale's catalogue, or on there website. The only stocks I can find anywhere are for large ring Mauser 98 actions. Will these fit a Swede 38?

These will not fit according to the dealers I talked to. I went through this whole scenario about a year ago with my M38. I tried Districorp, Marstar, Wholesale, SIR, and a bunch of places I found in The Shotgun News but it seems that this is a non-existant item.

Also Distracorp has them listed

I undertook a different project.
Instead of chopping the wood or replacing it, I got to enlarging the bbl channel and bed the whole length.
Screwd up a bit trying to stiffen it with fiberglass. BUT you end up with a rifle relative insesitive to weather and still bearing the looks of a great full stock swede.

Broan Mifflin in Kilbride built a beautiful Swede with handmade stock. Was selling the rifle for a great price as well, don't know if he still has it. Go look at it anyway if you like Swedes, just cause it's a beautiful rifle. Broan likes fancy ;). I'm thinking about having him build me a stock for a hunting rifle.

I must be starting to go blind MD:redface: , you've hit the nail right on the head. I pulled out the WS 2005-2006 catalogue and found the stock right away. Are you reading this stormbringer? Thanks for all of your replies guys!
