INDIAN OCEAN (July 12, 2010) Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Bryce Cannon, assigned to the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Detachment of Combat Logistics Battalion (CLB) 15, shoots an M-39 Enhanced Marksmanship Rifle (EMR) while his spotter Sgt. Nicholas Hill, assigned to Weapons Company of 1st battalion, 4th Marines, observes through a scope aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52). The M39 EMR is used to destroy unexploded ordnance from a safe distance. Pearl Harbor is part of Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group.
