A friend of mine has an old SGW AR-15 rifle. For shooting CQB it is handy to collapse the stock when shooting modified prone, so the scope eye relief is correct. Can he take the fixed butt off and put on a M4 butt assembly?
He is thinking that lots of guys have upgrade their M4's and there must be some collapsible butts available cheap. (He is retired = cheap.)
I know there is an issue of military vs commercial buffer tube diameter. I have no idea what an old SGW uses.
