I'm looking to get a good set of M4 Collapsible Stock for my new build service carbine AR. I've found one (in stock) at Questar - M4 Style 6-Position Collapsable Buttstock Kit (complete). Its description says "solid tie fit ... High quality... fully tested... these stocks have proven themselves in hundreds of installations" which sounds pretty good.:rolleyes:

I just need a good quality complete M4 Collapsible Stock for service rfile/carbine shooting (not a high-end fancy one).:) Should I go with this or else, any comments and advices would be appreciate? Thank you.
 
Those will work they are the same standard collapsible stock other company uses, they are solid enough if you are not looking for the name brand cool factor.
 
Thank you for all your inputs. Please keep posing, as this is very helpful for all new AR builders. I just turn my R-15 VTR rifle into carbine which requires a lot of new parts.

How about ATI 6 Position Hard Coat Anodized T6 Aluminum Buffer Tube complete w/ buffer and spring (Commercial tube, less stock) from FS? Is it good quality, anybody ever use it? I may buy a good after market stock of my own choice. :)
 
Many dealers can sell you a milspec tube and a milspec CTR - the reason for going with milspec on this part (for me) is that there is a definite, agreed to sizing on the mil tube OD and stock - sometimes commercial tubes are a shade over or under, which can cause issues with tightness or wobble.

Also, mil-spec RE are stronger, because of the threading and type of aluminum used.
 
I've already placed the order at OST. Let's see how good the finish and fit as well as overall quality of M4 6-position stock from OST. I will post a quick review after getting the stock.

Seriously??
They are all made in China. The only thing you did was spend $20+ more.

The Questar stock is $59.99 with $9.99 shipping.

The Questar Stock is Superb. You should have waited for more comments.
I would be surprised if these are the same. Questar has had those stocks for years and Have sold hundreds.

PC your on is also made in China, Trijicon too, different quality control. Devil in detail, uh? ;)
