Did you see the FLAMES on the bottom vid. Yikes! The VZ 58 never did this and even fires more rounds. I wonder if it's the gas tube that is to blame? In the first vid you can see were it ruptured & the second vid clearly show's that it is not getting enough presure to cycle the action @ the end.
Any ways I am sure glade that's not my rifle cuz thouse barrel be hooped! I mean drouped. LOL!

yup. If you are cool with a 32 MOA submachine gun, they will last longer.

Makes me feel better that my M4gery has a heavy barrel and not the light bbl. Good to know when that the zombie hordes hit my carbine will still be able to run long after I am out of ammo.
in the second vid, right after the handguard starts on fire, at 2:23 he clears a stovepipe, with the mag out, and the bolt goes into battery, and then a round cooks off before he even gets the next mag in. that's ####ing hot.
Keep in mind that those tests where done with a plastic handguard, our M4 RAS which is issue on the M4 and M4A1 carbines will improve cooling by about 33%, thus increasing the number of rounds before unsafe cook off temperature (important for safety) and the actual round failure limit.
