M4 , M2 or 1301??

i had all 3 at some point in my life,only one i still have is the 1301 tactical,the m4 was great just a bit heavy,the m2 was light but did have a few failure to eject with low power ammo,that why i still have the 1301, lately i got the mossberg 940 tactical i like this shotgun alot,the pre cut receiver feed every thing so far,and the price is very good,hope this help you.
 
I went 1301 comp when looking for a do all gun that would be used in my kayak for waterfowl. It's light fast and feeds and ejects everything. Even 3/4oz skeet loads with ease.
Using it as a loaner at the skeet club I can swap lop spacers and cast shims to fit others fast and easy
I like it so much that my 3 a400s just sit there unless I make an effort to take them out for skeet. With light loads the 1301 has even replaced my 20ga and 28ga a400s for hunting. It will and does do everything. So much that I've been thinking about a 1301 tac odg just for a dedicated bear gun while the comp stays stock for waterfowl. I've become too lazy to swap an optic on and off

for over 3 years now i have the holosun 403c on my 1301 never failed,and 50.000 hours on the battery plus solar energy backup,and very well priced

Their is also the Beretta A300 Ultima Patrol , looks like the 1301 with the standard stock ,really good shotty and the Ultima Patrol costs less .

Not sure if you found anything yet , if you’re not in a rush. Look for a Remington Versa Max Tactical. I own one , they will shoot everything, I haven’t tried the 2.5” rounds but everything cheap 2.75 - 3.5” I haven’t tried run through mine. No problems so far. I haven’t tried had mine for many years. Hope it helps.
 
Congrats on the 1301, which colour did u get, I opted for a black one but had difficulty sourcing it and settled on the green instead, absolutely love it, currently also looking for a red dot / something that has a dot and reticle, I see the Holosun is extremely popular on these but all the keyboard warriors diss the brand so Im considering the Osight X which has both dot & reticle and it wont break the bank plus its not a holosun.

Have fun with the 1301, bolt sound when moved is amazing

I put a 509t on my 1301 and will never dream of paying RMR or Aimpoint prices ever again.

The Holosun popularity on Youtube should be an indication in itself, I just googled the 509t and it checks all my boxes so will most likely move with it, any other mods to your 1301?

Tons, the full Tactical Ordnance treatment. Highlights are the machined feed port and the co-witnessed optic with reduced sized apertures. Got this one with the SGA stock as well, which all my other shotguns now wear. It just works.
 
At one time I had all three…but being young and dumb and spending too much money
I was at the range one day playing with them and a Chinese guy comes to the range ..we start to talk…he shoots them …and fell in love with them ….we talk some more talked price ….and he became the new owner …and I broke even …got my money back
And still to this day I flipping regret it …
Jesus those were some sweet shot guns
But I’m not in a financial pinch…….ffffffffff
