Can't put more than five in the magazine for a semi auto in Canada. (There are some um,er, exceptions to this rule but none of them apply here). I think the M4 has a four shot tube in our market, if you were in the US it would hold more.
If you remove the mag spring retainer clip It'll hold five.
Ghost load one on the carrier and you'll have six
Add one in the chamber... You gots seven.
Nope... the M4 sold on the civilian market has the 4 shot mag in order to meet the "sporting gun" criteria imposed on imported shotguns.
I know... I bought mine in the US.
Americans can increase the capacity of their M4's by adding a full length, usually 7 or 8 shot mag tube, but they must be aware of and comply with Title 18 Chapter 44 Section 922(r) of the United States Code.
If you want your brain to explode go look it up and read it.
If I'm not mistaken the M4 Benelli is chambered for 3" magnum shells, meaning that the magazine capacity is limited to 5 3" shells plus one in the chamber. So long as the 6th 3" shell cannot be inserted into the magazine you're golden, this means you can actually fit around 6+1 2 3/4 shells.
The shotgun is a semi-auto centrefire, so it's restricted to 5 rds. However, the restriction actually applies to the longest shell the shotgun is chambered in, which kinda makes sense, if the Aguila mini shells were imported there would be a lot of people with prohib mags on their shotguns. Technically I suppose you could have the 8 shot extension if it was riveted or otherwise permanently blocked to less than 6 3" shells. block it at 5.9 3" shells (so the 6th only just will not fit) and you'll get your best (legal) capacity.
