You guys ever watch Spike TV's "Deadliest Warrior"? Specifically Green Berets vs. Spetsnaz? I think I thought I saw a guy on Spike the other day, with one of these attached to his Mossberg 590.

(high-jacked photo, as even PHOTOS of these stocks seem nearly impossible to find)

I think Benelli USED to offer this stock type when the M$ was 1st released. Any idea why they stopped offering it? Can it be bought separately and does it fit the 590?

Thx.

I believe they're a military and law enforcement only item now. They're not all that great anyway, most of them are 2 position and will lock only in the {bit too long} full extended and {way too short} fully retracted positions without custom work. I've seen one of these stocks adapted to an 870 on another forum so it might be possible but there are many better sliding stock options for a 590 anyway.

Looks very tacticool :D:D

Hey, I have one of those :D

My cheek piece has been modified though.

Im not sure if they are still sold in Canada, the reason that Benelli stopped selling them in the USA, was that they couldn't be imported under any condition with the tele-stock on, so it was pointless to sell them (save for the few guys doing SBS work)

The stock itself is not all that comfortable though. If you want to use the Iron sights, you need to have it in the "Loooooong" 15.5 inch LOP position, if you want it shorter (in the Mid position) then you will hurt your cheek when you squish down to use the iron sights, and the stock slap gets ya.

It works great with an optic in the mid position though.

Im making my own new cheek piece out of fiberglass cloth, to try and get a nice and low profile cheek piece, so I can use iron sights in the mid position comfortably.

Even though my cheek piece is modified, its still not great for iron sights.

There are a few companies that make AR15 buffer tube adapters for the Mossberg 590 (Mesa Tactical has the LEO or "low" tube adapter so you can use the shotguns iron sights)

As far as I know, there is ONE guy on AR15.com that made an adapter to put the Benelli M4 tele stock on a Remington 870. Not very practical for what you get though.

The shotguns (M4 with skeletor stock) is for sale at Elwood Epps. I thought there were three positions (too long for me, just right, and too short...):D

4 actually.

Those mentioned, plus "gangsta" to-the-side style :D

its actually for "slicing the pie" or whatever they call it, so you can get the gun right into you and just peep it around the corner. Really useless, but it upsets liberals, so its good to go :D

Hhhmmmm. No advantages in the comfort dept.....I'm starting to wonder why that "Green Beret" guy on spike had it had it on his 590 at all?

If you use an AR15 buffer tube stock, that is a different story. I have not tried it, but it could be quite comfortable, however i would use a Hogue or other rubberized pistol grip. I have heard that the strait back recoil is perceived as quite a bit less, and since it is strait back, the follow up shots are much easier.

There is no real way to fit the Benelli M4 tele stock onto a Mossberg shotgun without EXTREME modifications though. Like I said, there is ONE person that has made an adapter for the M4s90 stock to fit on a Remington 870.

If they DID somehow manage to do it, it was for "looks" only and probably not a functional modification (seeing as how its a "spike TV" show)

The AR sliding stock require raised sights or optics if using an inline configuration though.

Yes.

Like the S&J Hardware setup, or the Cav Arms setup (which has a barrel-magazine tube clamp front sight), which allows you to use regular AR15 sights.

S&J is a little easier IMHO because you just slap AR15 sights onto it, rather than needing a barrel/magazine tube clamp.
