hi guys took my 1945 m44 izzy refurb out yeterday.shot 20 of russian, hungarian and czeck.this is what she did at 200 meters ,not realy stellar but she would do the job.suprised that the groups were similar in size and that the point of impact shifted slightly only.how does this compare to your groups?

bayo out last holes are hungarian if you can find that stuff buy it its more accurate than most other surplus.im kinda dissapointed in its performance.compared to my run of the mill 91/30 its no screaming hell.

The 11 signifies Radom, Poland. Your Pole M44 will most likely out shoot your Russian. They are excellent carbines. In regards to your Soviet M44 dont give up faith! Try some new Prvi ammo or if you really want to see results get into reloading. Also double check all of your screws are tight and your bedding is sound around the muzzle. Often refurb Mosins were simply thrown into stocks post war with no regards for bedding. I bet it will tighten up. However for a WWII carbine with surplus ammo I wouldnt be too dissapointed.

I think thats pretty good grouping. I have an East German m44 that I've barely shot but would be pleased to get those groups. I need to make a new(raised) front sight post to accommodate for bayonet removal and hotter loads.

I have a 91/30 that I can get under 4inch groups at 100 y with iron sights, but only with reloads and bullet diameter .312. Surplus ammo not so well. I have both Czeck and Russian surplus but have not had the opportunity to tune them in for the M44.

i handload for my m39 should try them in this m44.sometimes i just like shooting surplus in a surplus and seeing what happens
