That M38 of mine is a crap bag, 1943, counterbored, massive import mark, in an M44 stock, and I still wouldn't Bubba it.

Here it is in a synthetic stock

I think that you did a nice job

As far as all the criticisms go. It is your rifle. And at least one of the people complaining, cried when I built a new stock for a mosin without altering the origional in any way.

I tried to buy a PU on ebay. It was to come from eastern Europe. I did not pay for, sicne i was asking questions about their base. Was hoping to get both shipped together. Suddenly Mr. Ebay told me that the sale was a fraud and I should not pay.

Ah ha! Now I know what to do to keep from damaging the soft beechwood stock on my MINT matching number M44 Gonna leave th bayonet on so Ill have to bubba th synthtic stock with a router probably. Did you have to drill/tap the scope mounts? List of parts and cost for everything?

There was a nice "B" barrel Finn M-91 lately on the EE forums. I long hesitated to buy it because it was disfigured by an importer's "7,62 Russian" stamp on the barrel root.
Maybe I should have bought it anyway.
Oh, well...
