On the 96 Swede, can you get the scope forward enough to allow the use of stripper clips?

I've got the M96/M38 mount in front of me and a Vortex Scout on the way (have to check the mail!). Any ring recommendations?

I've done the same to a K98 and M48A. Put a NC Star 2-7x pistol scope on the K98 and a Cabelas 2-7x pistol scope on the M48A. The NC Star scope works surprisingly well.....

I've been similarly surprised by the AIM 2-7x LER scope (albeit on a Mosin)...

Here's my vz24.
I like it. Helps a lot in the "seeing my target" department.
The scope is quite nice for the pricepoint. I wish the whole setup looked a little less modern, but what can you do.
I'm considering going back to stock, selling the scope and mount, so I can sink more money in my k98k "homage sniper"

If it's any consolation, that setup looks pure Mauser-milsurp!...
