i would go with the yugo.

reason: get them in almost new conditon.
like the bent bolt
Nicer look.
cheaper to buy
Made on German machinery.
Better wood.

Is 7.92X57 ammunition easy to come by? I'm thinking about a yugo m48a myself.

The VZ24 is the better rifle, however the ones you'll find on the market are refinished with very dark bores. (ask me how I know)

The Yugo Mausers are in much better condition, therefore they are the better buy in my opinion.

IIRC the Yugo Mausers were originally a licensed copy of the VZ24.
